September Discovery Calendar of events

Discovery Yearbook order form.  Students and parents if you order your yearbook before December 17th you will save $3.00.

Art work from 2009-2010 school year.  Any student that did not pick up their art work at the end of the school year may call the main office and we will check to see if it is still in the Art room.

Student hours

Student hours for Discovery Middle School are as follows:

  • 8:50 a.m. - Bus arrival
  • 9:05 a.m. - Classes start
  • 4:00 p.m. - Student dismissal
  • 4:10 p.m. - Buses depart

The Discovery Middle School office hours during the regular school year (beginning Wednesday, August 11, 2010) are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Discovery recognized as an Indiana Four Star School

On January 13, 2010 Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Tony Bennett announced Indiana’s Four Star School awardees for the 2008-2009 school year. The Four Star School Award, the state’s highest distinction, was given to 188 schools for their attendance rates, student achievement and performance on the I-STEP+.

Martin's Advantages for Education Program

For families new to our area, Martin's has a wonderful program that provides equipment to our school. The Martin's Advantages for Education Program provides free educational equipment to schools within our area. Shoppers simply fill out the form with your card number and your school's four digit ID number.  Discovery's number is 4864.  Once it is processed, the card is registered.
