Parent Drop-off & Pickup Procedures

Discovery Student Drop-off and Pick Up

Discovery student drop off and pick up is designed to promote student safety. We encourage
all students to ride the bus if their residency is within Discovery. However, when alternate
transportation is necessary please follow these procedures. Click here for all procedures.

A.M. Drop Off: 8:50-9:05: Use the Ash Road entrance at Door A. Doors will be open at 8:50
a.m. Please move your vehicle all the way south to the end of the curb. Students should exit
the vehicle quickly and safely curbside to expedite the process. Please use Brummitt Rd. to
form the car line for drop off. Forming a car line on Ash Rd. north of Brummitt Rd. by
Salem Church and CR 10 will be prohibited. Once you have dropped off your student,
exiting from the Door A parking lot will be permitted right turn only onto Ash Rd.

Use the Horizon parking lot from Brummitt Road. Proceed to the east side and park parallel to
the curb. You may also park in the Horizon lot. Please do NOT use the Horizon Handicap
spots or form a second/third line of cars parallel to the curb, as this will cause a block in
the flow of traffic. Students will use the crosswalk, located at the Northwest corner of
Discovery. A staff member will supervise students crossing over for their safety. Please be
watchful for students walking to their vehicles and exit Horizon’s lot carefully with the traffic
