Thanks to the St. Joseph County Soil & Water Conservation District, students explored how decomposers like worms help create healthy soil — complete with live worm observations and fun mini “experiments.”

6th grade students in Discovery's Project Lead the Way classes started testing out their ping-pong ball launchers today! Students were tasked with creating a design on paper then building their launcher. Some groups had success from the get-go while others had to tweak and/or fully re-design their contraption. At Bittersweet, second grade students combinded decorating pumpkins with reading! Students read a book, decorated a pumpkin based on a character from the book, then presented a "book report" with their pumpkin to their classes, well done Bobcats! #PHMExcellence
