The registration deadline for Visual Arts Academy (grades K-5) and Learn a Foreign Language (grades 6 & 7) has been extended through Friday, April 20. 

Both of these P-H-M sponsored camps offered through the Learning Division are FREE! The Visual Arts Academy is offered during these weeks: 

• July 9 – 13, 2018
• July 16 – 20, 2018
• July 23 – 27, 2018

Learn a Foreign Language is three week course offered July 9 – 27, 2018.

The track meet for tonight has been canceled.  The girls and boys track practice for tonight has also been canceled. 

Week One 4/16-4/20— Language Arts Testing 

Monday- No testing, regular READ schedule

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday– Students will test in their LA classes and everyone will follow a NO READ schedule. 

Friday- Make up testing, regular READ schedule

Week Two 4/23-4/27— Math Testing

Monday- Make up testing, regular READ schedule

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday- Students will test in their Math classes and everyone will follow a NO READ schedule.

Friday- Make up testing, regular READ schedule

Week Three 4/30-5/4—Science/Social Studies 

Monday/Tuesday- 6^th grade test in Science and 7^th grade test in Social Studies, everyone will follow a NO READ schedule.

Wednesday/Thursday/Friday- Make up testing, regular READ schedule 

An evening orientation for 5^th grade parents and students is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18 from  6:30 – 7:30 P.M. at DMS.  Students will tour the building with their parents and share what they have learned during their past visit.

Time:  10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Come out and join us for food, games, and a celebration of the brave Riley patients and their families. 

Students have been fundraising all school year, and we will reveal their total efforts at the end of the marathon!

These 9 students have qualified to compete in the National MathCON 2018 Finals in Chicago, Illinois, on May 5 at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) Forum.

Jerry Yuan, Luca Nijim, Arda Kurama, Maddie Zavada, Zichu Wang, Derick Shi, Raymond Luo, Noah Schafer and Jacob Moehn outperformed 50,000 competitors across 43 states to qualify for Nationals!

More than 50,000 students from across the nation in grades 5-12 including home-schooled, charter, public and private school students competed in the online competition held from January 22 to March 2.

Of the competitors, 576 students are invited to advance to the finals where they will be going head to head in a 90-minute timed test with 70 questions including multiple choice and constructed response. The MathCON competition questions include several mathematical disciplines including algebra, geometry, measurement, data analysis, number systems and pre-calculus.

The day-long finals event will bring together elementary, middle and high school students to compete for various prizes and national prestige through various math questions and activities. In addition to the finals testing, students at this year’s competition will enjoy a mathematics magic show by renowned magician, Tom London-Tech Magician, a variety of interactive mathematics games, entertainment by Chicago DJ Ryan and a pizza party with other participants. At Finals, the National Finalists (top student in each grade 5-12) will receive a cash prize of $300.  The Gold medal winners will receive $200; Silver medal winners will win $100; and Bronze Medal winners will be awarded $50.  This year, the top 576 student finalists are representing 29 states and are traveling from as far away as California, New York, Alaska and Rhode Island.
