The requirements of Public Law 99-519 better known as the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) have been met by the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation. Following an inspection for asbestos containing material by an accredited inspector, Penn-Harris-Madison had an approved asbestos management plan on July 9 1989.  The plan and all records concerning its implementations are available for inspections at the office of the principal during regular business hours.

Raptor Visitor Management System – School Safety Visitor Policy

Discovery Middle is initiating a new Visitor Management System. The Raptor Visitor Management System will supplement the sign-in list or replace the list. All visitors or volunteers must sign-in at Discovery by providing a legal identification, such as a drivers license. The drivers license information will then be scanned into the Raptor Visitor Management software. This is a one-time scan process. After the initial scan, visitors or volunteers will provide their name upon entry to the school and could be asked to provide identification if requested to enter the school during schoo hours. Your name will be entered into the Raptor Visitor or Volunteer application and a visitor badge will be printed for you to wear at all times while you are inside the school The badge is to be returned to the office upon leaving. If the visitor is not entering the school beyond the school office, you will not be required to sign in using the Raptor Visitor Management System. The office will provide a sign-in log for simply signing students in or out.
