New Indiana Department of Health immunization requirements for 2014-2015

The Indiana State Department of Health has updated the immunization requirements for the 2014-2015 school year. Here are the changes to the requirements:

• Incoming kindergarten students must have 2 Hepatitis A vaccinations (new requirement) by the first day of school in August.
• For current 11th grade students to enter the 12th grade in the fall, you must have a second dose of the meningococcal vaccine (new requirement) by the first day of school in August.
• For current 5th grade students to enter the 6th grade in the fall, you must have a Tdap, Meningococcal, and 2 varicella vaccines by the first day of school in August.
